Kieh (pronounced “key”) was founded in 1979 by Dr. Christ Iatropulos, and has a long history, based solidly in quality and precision in metallurgical testing and analysis. The Kieh logo was chosen by the founder for its significant meaning and philosophies grounded in principles of committing no error, having mutual confidence, and the result of prescribed actions bringing advantageous results. With this as a founding principle the Kieh Team hopes to have mutual confidence in its partnerships and advantageous results for everyone involved.​

With these things in mind, the Kieh team prides itself in the precision of training, preparation, execution and results – whether for a tensile or rockwell test, a more sophisticated engineering cert, or failure analysis work.

Kieh’s three main departments are responsible for ensuring that your work is done on time and up to high standards.

• Our Office team works with you from beginning to end. They make sure your work is either picked up or received in house properly, schedules the testing to be done and finally delivers your reports. They know our customers inside and out and love to bring new ones into the family.
• Our Shop team has many years of experience and formal education in metal working, metal technologies and machining. Combined with the experiences of working with our customers for so many years they know precisely what needs to be done to get your samples into the lab.​
• Our Lab team trained under our founder, Dr. Iatropulos, and has extensive education and training in utilizing the proper methodology and analysis for your results. Decades of experience and industry insights allow our lab team to provide far more than just provide push-button results to our customers. We provide weekly consulting to many of our customers.

Kieh is an ISO 17025 and A2LA Accredited Lab. We also carry a WBENC Certificate for Diversity Supplier Programs.
